Nikkiso’s Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group was created from the strengthening and development of six functional units:

Pumps – a merger of Nikkiso ACD’s and Nikkiso Cryo’s lines of pumps, which created the largest cryogenic pump company in the world.
Heat Exchangers – focuses on industrial gas plants, natural gas liquefiers; incorporates LNG and air separation plants.
Process Systems – drives business growth in hydrogen and natural gas fueling markets, skid-mounted systems, and turnkey solutions.
Service – provides service and support through a broad network of global facilities.
Fueling & Solutions – allows for centralized management of product and project development across channels and in multiple market segments.
Energy Infrastructure & Strategic Projects – offers turnkey solutions for energy infrastructure including geothermal plants, compressed hydrogen distribution systems, energy recovery solutions, and offshore marine fueling systems. This also includes the Nikkiso Expander Application Technique (NEAT) department.

Company History

For nearly 75 years, Cryogenic Industries, Inc. and its member companies have manufactured engineered cryogenic gas processing equipment and small-scale process plants for the liquefied natural gas (LNG), well services and industrial gas industries.

Cryogenic Industries is the parent company of Nikkiso ACD, Nikkiso Cosmodyne and Nikkiso Cryoquip and a commonly-controlled group of 20 operating entities, including Nikkiso Cosmodyne India (formerly Rhine Engineering), Nikkiso ACD Cryo (Europe), Nikkiso Cryoquip Australia, Nikkiso Cryoquip – U.K, and Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries Service Companies.

Nikkiso Cryo, Inc. is a leading supplier of cryogenic submerged electric motor pumps used in the liquefied gas industry. NCI’s innovative designs have resulted in the first application of high pressure pumps for use on regasification LNG carriers, the first and only cryogenic pumps installed on an LNG GBS, compact high flow pumps for the world’s largest FPSO under construction, as well as compact, higher speed pumps used for a variety of LNG, LPG and other applications.

In August 2017, Nikkiso Co., Ltd. (6376: JP) www.nikkiso.com, a global leader in advanced technologies for Industrial, Clean Energy, Aerospace and Medical markets, announced their acquisition of Cryogenic Industries, Inc. of Temecula, CA, USA and Cryogenic Industries, AG of Basel, Switzerland consisting of all its operations.

In February 2018, Cryogenic Industries, Inc. and Nikkiso Cryo, Inc., both subsidiaries of Nikkiso Co., Ltd (Japan), announced their functional consolidation as “Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group”.
